Undergraduate Research Opportunities for Summer 2021
Our lab is usually looking for 1-2 undergraduates for approx. 20 hrs / week for 2 full months during summers to work on a project related to social insect behavior (bees, ants, etc.). Work will be based in Blacksburg and will have flexible hours. Depending on the interest of the student, this work may involve working on:
- basic research on honey bee waggle dances; this involves hands-on work with a stinging insect, but no prior experience is necessary
- basic and applied research on ants;
The undergraduate research assistantship could be either for credit or for pay ($12/hour).
Please apply by sending your CV and cover letter (combined length of two pages) to Dr. Roger Schürch by 31st March of 2020.
